Fannie Mae has announced the DU Refi Plus Program, a new refinance option to achieve the goals set out for the Making Home Affordable Program and to incorporate additional flexibilities provided by FHA.
 
The maximum loan-to-value (LTV) ratio for refinance mortgage loans under this initiative has been expanded to 105 percent, and MI requirements have been significantly relaxed to assist borrowers who have experienced home price declines.
